Teledyne DALSA Process Library
A clean, high-tech Process Library designed for an engineering-led audience who need to find trusted operational information quickly.

Background
Teledyne DALSA's Process Library users are largely engineers, or have an engineering background. They are highly IT literate, web savvy and comfortable navigating structured information when the structure is clear.
For this audience, the design challenge was not to create unnecessary visual decoration. It was to create a bespoke Process Library homepage that felt precise, functional and direct. The Library needed to take users straight to the information they needed, with as little friction as possible.
Design approach
The result was a simple, clean, high-tech design using Triaster's Hover interface. This allowed Teledyne DALSA's users to move quickly through the Library architecture and locate the right processes and documents without feeling that the homepage was getting in the way.
This is a good example of what bespoke Process Library design means in practice. The objective is not to impose a standard Triaster look. The objective is to create a Business Management System that reflects the organisation, its users and the way people actually work.
Architecture
- Hover system
- Simple, clean homepage structure
- Navigation designed for technically confident users
- Fast access to process and document content
Why it matters
A Process Library only delivers value if people use it. For engineering-led organisations, that means clarity, speed and confidence. Teledyne DALSA's Library demonstrates how design can support adoption by matching the expectations of the user community.
The aesthetics are still important, but they are important because they support usability, trust and navigation. The best Process Library design is the design that helps people find the correct way of working and get on with their job.
